Bloom Chemistry
[1] Genera - plural of genus, a category of classification in biology that ranks between the family level and the species level. Because there are many different species of bacteria that are difficult to distinguish, it is more useful to classify bacteria by genus rather than species.

Bloom Description
Volunteer Reports: The air was completely still when the mild bloom was observed. The weather was still cool from the night before but beginning to warm as the sun rose higher. It has been two days since we had a lot of rain (1.9”), the first significant rain for many weeks. Though the day has warmed since we noticed the bloom the breeze has also picked up and the bloom has dissipated. We did check the beacon bay Marina slightly south of us and there was some sign of very light bloom formation there, but only in the most inner corners of still water. The rest of the open area was clear there.
