Bloom Chemistry
[1] Genera - plural of genus, a category of classification in biology that ranks between the family level and the species level. Because there are many different species of bacteria that are difficult to distinguish, it is more useful to classify bacteria by genus rather than species.

Bloom Description
Volunteer reports: Overcast, smoky (smoke in air), Heavy rain on 13 July - more than an inch; some wind and waves less than 6 inches. 13 July -- more than an inch. Very different from the HAB of last week -- this was harder to see -- lines of green dots on the surface. Dissipated fairly quickly -- I watched for about 2 hours and it was gone by 3pm. Probably moved by wind and spread out by the waves,
