Community member reported: after several windy days, this afternoon the water was very calm, with air temperature in the mid-60s. Just west of Hibiscus Point, there were some scattered HAB strands and a dense concentration of HAB particles. Heading out into the middle of the lake due west of Hibiscus Harbor and Hibiscus Point, the concentration lessened, but HAB particles were still evident in the middle of the lake. (The first two photos were taken fairly close to shore, and the other two were taken in the middle of the lake. The wider views show the distance from shore from where the closer photos were taken. It is hard to capture the HAB strands and particles in the wider views, but the particles were evident in all directions.)
