Welcome to CSI's Water Quality Database
All the data in this free, public archive are derived from stream and lake samples collected by groups of local volunteers who partner with the Community Science Institute (CSI) and our nationally certified lab to monitor community water resources. Our local monitoring partnerships produce scientifically reliable, long-term data sets that fill very large voids left by state surveillance of streams and lakes under the Clean Water Act. Our goal is to create a shared understanding of water quality that contributes to the development of effective and sustainable strategies for managing water resources.
