Synoptic Monitoring Event on August 13, 2025
for Cayuga Lake under Base Flow conditions
Notes: The morning started off dry, overcast, + very humid. The forecast called for a cold front to move through later in the day, but as we got out on the lake it was very dark to the north. As we arrived at the mouth of Salmon Creek, it started sprinkling and then pouring rain! @ 10 AM It rained hard fo about an hour 10 - 11 am. From 11 - 11:30 it lightly sprinkled, and completely stopped as we were collecting our last few samples at the south end, the rain stopped and the sun came out! Very minimal wind, a light - moderate breeze. Forgot to pack DO bottles so no samples collected
