Synoptic Monitoring Event on July 18, 2023
for Trumansburg Creek under Base Flow conditions
Notes: Event time = time of sampling (Eastern Time) at stream mouth (TBCB - Trumansburg Creek at Camp Barton) At TBOF (Trumansburg Outfall of Sewage Plant), there was no flow at first. Volunteers waited 5 minutes after which pumps came on, resulting in moderate or slightly over moderate flow. High concentrations of grease were also observed floating on the main sewage treatment tanks. This event occurred during a heat wave with smoke from Canadian forest fires.
